Happy Turkey Day!

I know I've said it before, but this quarter has gone by fast. Actually, this whole year has gone by pretty fast for me. Time flies when you're having fun, right?.....riiiiight. This quarter's about to end. After this holiday break, we only have 3 more days of class and bam, finals time! I guess I'm ready for it. Midterms weren't that bad....even though I thought I did better....hahaha. Anyways, I hope everyone's enjoying their holiday and is ready to get back into it next week.

Dinner: Mediterranean: Chicken shishtawook, stuffed grape leaves, falafel, salad, hummus, pita. Vegetarian entree: Spanikopeta. The chicken whatevers were good. It's hard to see on my plate cuz they're covered with rice, but there's some chicken on there. The Mediterranean food is a nice change up for dinner. I think most people enjoyed it. I guess the only complaint I'd have is with the pita bread. It was out of a bag. Homemade woulda been great or at least heated would have been nice.

Anthony's Holiday Party

Free food and drinks....what!! The TMMBA threw a holiday get together for us at Anthony's in Kirkland with some apps and drinks. It's always great to catch up with everyone outside of the classroom. It was a nice break and much appreciated by our class. Just think, the next outing we'll be with Class 10, so we can all point and laugh at them!

The food was good. I was not able to take pics of all the plates, but you can see there were a variety. The calamari and clams were good! The vegetarians were happy about the bruschetta. There were also these sliders and salmon sliders. I didn't try the salmon sliders, but the hamburger sliders were a little dry....i wasn't that impressed with them. But the clams! YUM-O! I felt bad cuz there was a whole order/plate of clams leftover at the end that nobody touched. What a waste!!! I shoulda taken it togo =)

Coffe Cake and BBQ!

Coffee cake and BBQ sums up the food for the first part of our Saturday. There was much more the later part of that day, which will be covered more....oh....in the next post.

Breakfast: assorted muffins & breakfast breads, european style meat/cheese platters, hard-boiled eggs, fruit, yogurt, toast, rice cakes. Look at all that detail for food on the calendar! That pretty much covers everything, but they forgot to mention the best part....coffee cake!! It's yummy with the fruit jam or whatever in the middle. Wonderful in your mouth!

Lunch: Pulled pork, beef, and chicken sandwiches; vegetarian barbecue beans; tossed salad; Vegeterian Sandwich: veggie burgers. I felt bad for the vegeterians. We had a lot of meat and more meat for these BBQ sandwiches. I prolly should have gotten another set of sandwich breads since I wanted to try all the meats. It was good and I was careful to ration my breads =) I heard that the veggie burger wasn't that great. Veggie burger...pfffttt

Freakin Anagene Case!

This is where even reading the materials and books did not help for the last question for this Anagene case. It's those Corporate Finance flashbacks again with not learning the materials ahead of time and doing work or a case of them. I believe students would get more out of these materials, theories, tools, etc. if we were provided the information first, then were tested on them. Anyways, I think Dave said he actually changed the wording on the questions for this case as they were somewhat ambiguous. That's not exactly how I would have put it. Future classes can thank me later, and hopefully, they'll spend less than 2 hrs on the last question.

Dinner: Meat and vegetarian lasagna, caesar salad, broccoli, garlic breadsticks. I believe this is the first time we've had lasagna. I could be wrong though. It's been awhile if not. I think this is another good bread, but I didn't know they were garlic breadsticks. Mushrooms and bell peppers, yum! I think that's a brownie on my plate as well. It's always a treat to have dessert!

Beer Game it up!

I have to say that I looked at my syllabus to realized we did the Beer Game this day. I did not know what else to say for the title. haha I guess I coulda mentioned Veteran's Day. Yeah, our class got moved to Tuesday this week because it was Veteran's Day on Wed. Seriously, who recognizes Veteran's Day? I'm not saying it's not important...just that we prolly didn't have to move the class day. I still had to go to work as I believe most of my classmates did as well.

Dinner: Baked stuffed sole, wild rice, steamed veggies, baby greens salad, breads. I like fish, and it's always a nice touch to mix up the foods. As you can see, I usually just get the bell peppers and mushrooms for my veggies =) Oh, I think this is the good bread in the pic above as well. I don't know what it's called, but I've mentioned it before. It's good!

What's Decision Support Models?

Yes, DSM is one of the classes we are taking this quarter, but the last class was about a month before. Personally, I had forgotten most of the items taught in our first meeting (maybe it was just me), and if it wasn't for our review session, I'd prolly would not have been able to do the homework....maybe ;) It may have been better to schedule the classes more evenly. I know it's not always easy to do. Just my two pesos.

Breakfast: waffles, hard-boiled eggs, fruit, yogurt, granola, toast, rice cakes. I wouldn't call them "waffles" per se. They were more like french toast. I still welcomed them as they were something new to the lineup. I would still prefer a little more protein choices other than the hard boiled eggs and the cold salami slices.

Lunch: Assorted soups from City Soups, sandwiches, salad, cookies. Ah, City Soups is what the vendor is called. I believe we've had them before. They have a good variety of soups and sandwiches. The tuna salad was good, but I thought the bacon turkey sandwich was very salty that I did not finish it. The salad was good as well. I like all the "stuff" in it. I think I got the butter squash soup or something like that. It was delicious! I wanted to try another soup but was kinda full by then. I know...that should not have stopped me...

Midterms are a startin'

This quarter is going by fast! Midterms are already upon us, and finals are just around the corner. Then, it'll be Quarter 5, and we'll be that much closer to graduating. Oh man, I can't wait!

Dinner: chicken dijon, wild rice pilaf, house green salad, mediterranean style vegetables, dinner rolls. The chicken was okay, and the sauce definately helped. The rice was nice. I liked the onions, carrots, and peas? or whatever veggies in there to spruce it up. The veggies, salad, and roll are similar to what we have had before.
