So many numbers, not enough time...

There are many numbers and calculations in this quarter. I realized that we use Excel spreadsheet for every class! These quantitative classes are good since most of us have engineering and/or technical backgrounds, but it's a lot of numbers and calculations and it can be difficult to keep up sometimes.

No dinner menu on the calendar, bummer. We had this pork tenderloin with gravy, mash tatters, salad, grilled veggies, and sweet roll. The pork was good. I don't remember it being dry at all and with the gravy, it was nice. I like the grilled vegges. The pepper and mushrooms are my favs, and that sweet roll is one of my fav bread options too!

Learning About Our ABC's.

No, not the alphabet, it's activity-based costing. pffft, didn't you know that? Maybe it's just me, but I feel that all the classes we're learning this quarter are very applicable to our jobs and what we do. I am really enjoying the classes and learning so much. I just need to figure out how to apply them cuz my life isn't all layed out with even numbers like the cases and homework problems ;)

Breakfast: Our normal stuff with fruit, yogurt, hard-boiled eggs, cold meats & cheese plate, and the added bonus of coffee cake. nice! I like the coffee cake. It's great with the hot coffee or tea. Lunch: Sushi & Rolls, Teriyaki Chicken, Stir fried Beef & Vegetables, Vegetable Yaki-Udon ( for Vegetarians), Ocean Salad, Green Salad, Steamed Rice. The teriyaki chicken and stir fried beef with rice was good. The sushi rolls were okay. The "Ocean salad" was adventurous. The only complaint I had was that the hot foods weren't really hot.....more luke warm =\

What Queuing Model is this?

There is a queuing buffer and usually 2 lines. There is no jockeying or balking. However, there is a service time, but no servers since the customers serve themselves. It's the food buffet queuing model! =)

Dinner: Aged Washington Beef Tips in Rich House Burgundy Sauce, Stuff Your Own Baked Potatoes, Steamed Fall Vegetable Melange, Classic Caesar Salad, Rustic Breads. The steak/beef was really good and tender. The salad....look at all the bacon on it. Of course, it's good! The bread...I don't know which rustic bread but there's one that we've had before, it's really good. I think it's the one I picked on my plate. Overall, a very satisfying meal.

Go Teagen!

Teagen was the last student presentation we had, and I'm glad it was on a Wed. It would be bad to be cutting into our sleep time for Saturdays ;) Starting class at 8:45AM? How odd is that? Nobody wants that.

Dinner: Pasta bar with classic meat sauce and chicken alfredo sauce, garlic bread, spinach salad, roasted veggies. The pastas were okay. I like noodles so it wasn't too bad. I really liked the make-your-own-spinach-salad. Spinach salads are great, and being able to put your own toppings on it....excellent!

9AM start! Suh-weet!!

I don't think the staff understand how much that extra half an hour means to some of us on Saturday mornings. It's a great thing. I assume that we should be starting at 9AM on all Saturdays since we're done with our student presentation. No student presentation = 30 minutes saved = 30 minutes+ more of sleep, right?

Breakfast: Bagels, cold meats/cheese platter, hard-boiled eggs, fruit, yogurt, granola, toast, rice cakes. It was the usual with bagels and the salami and cheese plate. I can't remember they had the baked brie this time. I noticed they have brought it back a few times. The baked brie is okay, but I'm not sure if everyone is eating them. Maybe it could be switched out with something......hot? maybe something protein-y? i'm just saying, hahaha ;)

Lunch: Assorted sandwiches, greek orzo, salad, fruit --grilled chicken & smoked mozzarella, grilled garden vegetable, thai veggie wrap, turkey pesto cranberry. These were just premade sandwiches, but no soup =( I believe I had the chicken mozzarella and turkey pesto cranberry sandwiches. The turkey pesto cranberry was nice and tasty.

Starting the 4th Quarter...

And a great start it was.....for the meal that is. I don't mean that class wasn't good cuz it was. It's always exciting to start a new class and learn a new topic. But the Indian dinner buffet was nice. I think we had Butter Chicken, Curry Beef, Naan, the fried potatoe thingy, and I think we had some lamb too...can't remember what that last meat was. Anyways, it was a great start for the meals to beging the quarter. =)

Someone couldn't get into a bar...

There were some people who had bigger nights than others. All in all, I think everyone who went out had a great time, but there was a situation where someone (not mentioning names again) wasn't allowed into a bar. It was a bummer, but in the end, everything worked out.

A quick comment about Pat and the Leadership Immersion. It was awesome! I think everyone enjoyed their classroom times and what we learned. We just wished it could have been longer since Pat had so many stories to tell us =)

Breakfast: hot food again! Man, I was stoked! We had scrambled eggs and sausage links. The eggs were okay, but they're eggs and they're hot. I can complain. The sausage links were good. For lunch, they ended strong with a roast beef station. I forgot what else we had since I didn't take a pic of my plate. However, I do remember having seconds of the roast beef, which I finished and only then remembered to take a pic of the serving station. haha

Nobody Died in the Desert!!

I believe we were one of the only groups that has played the Gold of the Desert Kings game without any team dying in the desert. Yes, there were some comments about my team having an unfair advantage, and I feel horrible about it. I'm glad we didn't get first place. I just thought we were making some great decisions. ;)

Breakfast! They went all out with our meals for this immersion. We had salmon eggs benedict for breakfast. It was delicious. I think I had a 3rd....maybe a 4th as well. You can't go wrong with eggs! =) The lunch was a make your own sandwich deal with salad, pasta salad, some other stuff, and brownie. I liked the pasta salad, and I remember the brownie being yummy!

A Nice Long Break...

Yes, it was a nice long break, especially for me as I was in the 2nd Leadership Immersion group. However, I heard that the 1st Leadership Immersion class had a lot of fun over their weekend. So much so, that someone (not mentioning names) couldn't make the last day, so they joined our class to finish up. I guess they're fortunately to have that backup plan. =)

For Breakfast, we had biscuits and gravy along with some of the normal breakfast foods we usually get. The gravy was good cuz it had bacon in it! The biscuits were a little dry, but it wasn't that bad cuz of the gravy. I was just happy that there was hot food for breakfast.

I totally forgot to take the picture for lunch. I think the break was too long, and I wasn't in the habit of taking pictures of my food again. But I do remember it was a catered sandwich and salad in a little box container. I forgot what I had too..... =\
